This small article looks at the latest fortified releases from Quinta do Noval, including the 2018 Vintage Port and both the Vintage Port and Vintage Port Nacional in 2019 and 2020. The 2019s come from a cooler vintage and are gorgeously layered, complex Ports that deliver everything you could want: richness, layers, complexity, structure, and length. In comparison, the 2020s are bigger, softer, more opulent wines coming from a hotter vintage. While the 2020s will certainly be on a faster evolutionary track compared to the tighter, more structured 2019s, both vintages have their appeal. In addition, the report includes two vintages of their Colheita Tawny and a Late Bottled Vintage Port from 2016.
