This latest Up From the Cellar is another mismatch of wines and includes a number of Northern Rhônes from Chapoutier, Chave, Gangloff, and Guigal, as well as a handful of Bordeaux, some Southern Rhônes, and even a stunning Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley’s Bryant Family.

In addition to older wines, there are new releases from France including Château de Nages and Domaine Gassier (some great rosés… I’ll have more rosés posted next week as well), Luc Baudet (Clos des Centenaires and Stephanie et Luc Baudet), and the Ventoux’s Château Unang. I also finally got around to reviewing the 2016 Domaine du Pegau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Reservée from bottle, and it certainly didn’t disappoint, reminding me of a slightly fresher version of the 2003.

From California, we’ve got new releases from Napa’s PerUs (which are made by Russell Bevan) as well as a handful of wines from Staglin Family, Groth, Sequoia Grove, and Paul Lato.

I hope you and all your loved ones are safe and healthy. Wine is an amazing beverage that can offer incredible joy, bring back fond memories, and can transport you to beautiful places.  I hope you have a chance to enjoy a favorite bottle during these challenging times.

Wishing you all the best,

Jeb
