This latest Up From The Cellar #8 looks at a bevy of terrific wines, including some 1982 Bordeaux, some gems from the Rhône Valley, some older California wines (and very old Sine Qua Non!), some fortified wines from the Roussillon (which I completely missed in my article on Domaine de Rancy previously!) and even a handful of Burgundy. It’s a true mix of regions and styles!

In addition, there are a handful of new releases. I was able to purchase and taste the 2013s from Marcassin as well as taste the 2016s from Paul Lato that I’d only reviewed from barrel in the past. I was also able to find a bottle of the 2009 Châteauneuf du Pape from Château Rayas, which is, shockingly, the current release in the market today. There are also a few releases from Spain, with notes on Bodegas Zugober in Rioja and Perinet in the Priorat. Lastly, I was shipped a bottle of Château de Rouanne, which is located in Vinsobres. This estate was recently purchased by Château Saint Cosme’s Louis Barruol and his 2018 is a beauty.

Happy hunting as always!
