During my Santa Barbara County trip last year I was able to sit down and taste through a handful of retrospectives from some of the top producers in the region.

This article looks at the Watch Hill Syrah from Andrew Murray, the Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Brewer-Clifton, the Cabernet Sauvignon dominated El Desafio de Jonata from Jonata, the Melville Estate Chardonnay, and the Fe Ciega Vineyard Pinot Noir from Ojai.

As I hope this article and the recent 10-year-retrospective The 2007s From Santa Barbara County show, the wines from Santa Barbara County age beautifully.
