These releases will be covered by my colleague Audrey Frick going forward, but I was certainly happy to have one last look at these brilliant wines from the team at Ornellaia and Masseto, and winemaker Axel Heinz. This small report looks at the 2018 and 2019 vintages, but of which are certainly impressive years. The 2018s show more pretty, elegant profiles, with remarkable purity, while the 2019s are slightly more exuberant and powerful, with a touch more ripeness. Regardless, both vintages have unquestionably produced brilliant wines from this address.
