This latest Up From The Cellar includes a bevy of wines and is an eclectic mix from France, Spain, and the US. The report is also a little bit of a catch-all for some new releases that missed some recent reports.

These new releases include a handful of California Pinots from Hirsch and Patine, some Spanish releases from Emilio Moro and Perinet, a few Bordeaux barrel samples, the latest Chimère Châteauneuf-du-Pape release from the collaboration between Manfred Krankl and Clos Saint Jean in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the 2018s from Dana Estates in Napa, and a few wines from aMaurice Cellars in Washington State, just to name a few.

As to the older wines, there are some standouts from Bordeaux, the Rhône, Languedoc, and California. There’s also a small retrospective from Chateau Lamothe-Bergeron, which is certainly making beautiful wines today, with a noticeable uptick in quality in recent vintages.

As always, thanks for reading,

Jeb
