2017 Fisher Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Wedding Vineyard

From a site in Sonoma, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Wedding Vineyard is one of my favorites in the lineup. Deep purple-hued with rocking notes of crème de cassis, leafy tobacco, violets, white flowers, and graphite, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, beautiful purity of fruit, silky tannins, and a great finish. It's straight-up gorgeous stuff, and you can drink bottles today or cellar for two decades.

2017 Fisher Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Coach Insignia

Another Napa Valley release, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Coach Insignia sports a deeper ruby/purple hue as well as classy notes of crème de cassis, damp earth, white flowers, and cedar pencil. It has the more savory, structured style of the vintage yet stays balanced, has ripe tannins, and outstanding length. I'd be happy to have bottles in the cellar, and it should evolve for 15-20 years with no issues.

2017 Fisher Vineyards Chardonnay Whitney's Vineyard

Cut from the same cloth, the 2017 Chardonnay Whitney's Vineyard has a touch more vibrancy and purity. Stone fruits, crushed stone, lavender, honey, and white flower notes dominate the nose and it's another mineral-laced, chisel, concentrated Chardonnay. It's going to evolve for at least a decade.

2017 Fisher Vineyards Chardonnay Mountain Estate Vineyard

I was able to taste two Chardonnays under the Fisher Vineyards label. Brought up in 45% new French oak, the 2017 Chardonnay Mountain Estate Vineyard offers a rich, Meursault-like vibe in its buttery orchard fruits, toasted nut, honeyed flower, spice, and subtle mineral-laced aromas and flavors. It's rich, concentrated, and opulent, yet has good acidity and a focused, balanced, lengthy style on the palate. While I'd drink bottles over the coming 4-6 years, I wouldn't be surprised to see it keep longer.
