2017 En Garde Cabernet Sauvignon

Coming from the Fountaingrove District on Sonoma and 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested all pre-fire and spent 27 months in 67% new French oak. It’s a more herbal, medium to full-bodied, fresh Cabernet that still has good density, ripe tannins, and nicely integrated acidity. Black fruits, green tobacco, cedary herbs, and mint all emerge from the glass, and it has a silky texture, solid overall balance, and outstanding length. Drink bottles any time over the coming 10-15+ years.

It's another complex, full-bodied, elegant wine from this estate that has loads to love. It's already approachable, with tons of sweet fruit, but it should cruise for 15+ years in cool cellars.
