2018 Fulcrum Wines Pinot Noir Hogan's Run

Lastly, the 2018 Pinot Noir Hogan's Run is a Russian River Valley release and was completely destemmed and saw 25% new French oak. This spicy, already complex effort reveals a medium ruby/purple hue, notes of flowers, strawberries, and forest floor, light tannins, and a soft, forward, supple style ideal for near-term drinking.

2018 Fulcrum Wines Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard

From the Petaluma Gap region of the Sonoma Coast, the 2018 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard is similarly purple/ruby-hued and has lots of foresty and pine tree notes as well as beautiful cherry and strawberry fruit, medium to full body, the seamless, pure fruit quality that's the hallmark of the 2018 vintage, and a great finish. It's already hard to resist, and while I don't see a need to delay gratification, it should evolve for 7-8 years.

2018 Fulcrum Wines Pinot Noir Wildcat Mountain Vineyard

Moving to the three Pinot Noirs, the 2018 Pinot Noir Wildcat Mountain Vineyard comes from a site in Carneros and spent 11 months in one-third new French oak. It offers a classic California Pinot nose of ripe berry fruits, spice, cola, and bay leaf. This carries to a fruit-forward, sexy Pinot Noir that has terrific purity of fruit, no hard edges, and a great finish. It's a pleasure-bent effort to drink over the coming 4-5 years or so.
