Tasted out of tank, the 2018 Crozes-Hermitage Blanc offers plenty of bright Marsanne citrus, pear, and quince notes as well as good acidity, medium body, subtle oak, and a great finish. It's another beautiful wine from this new estate.

2018 Domaine Des Combat Crozes-Hermitage

The 2018 Crozes-Hermitage should be outstanding. It has classic dark fruits, truffle, and black olive notes as well as a full-bodied, decadent style on the palate. With ripe tannins and solid concentration, I suspect it will keep for a decade.

2017 Domaine Des Combat Crozes-Hermitage Bacchus

The young vine cuvée of the estate brought up all in tank, the 2017 Crozes-Hermitage Bacchus is a juicy, delicious Syrah that has plenty of peppery herbs, olive, and spiced red and black fruits, medium body, no hard edges, and a charming, simple style ideal for near-term drinking.

2017 Domaine Des Combat Crozes-Hermitage Exception'Elle

A cellar selection that spends 12 months mostly in used barrels (there's a small amount in tank), the 2017 Crozes-Hermitage Exception'Elle is a beauty, with lots of upfront fruit, blackberry, ground pepper, spice, and incense. Pure and medium to full-bodied, it has wonderful purity, fine tannins, and a great finish.
