2017 Domaine Chambeyron Cote Rotie Lancement

From 100% Syrah brought up in 30% new French oak, the 2017 Côte Rôtie Lancement offers a stunning perfume of blackberries, black raspberries, crushed violets, bacon fat, and hints of ground pepper. This flows to a medium to full-bodied, concentrated, silky Côte Rôtie that has ultra-fine tannins, remarkable purity, and a great finish. It's a stunning effort and up with the crème de la crème of the vintage.

2017 Domaine Chambeyron Cote Rotie L'Angeline

Lastly, the 2017 Côte Rôtie L'Angeline comes from two lieux-dits (Les Moutonnes and Chavaroche) and spent 20 months in 25% new French oak. Its deep purple color is followed by a complex bouquet of black raspberries, mulberries, spring flowers, licorice, and crushed rocks. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and with a great texture, it's another serious 2017 from this estate that's a solid step up over the 2016s.
