2018 Romain Duvernay Condrieu

The 2018 Condrieu has a classy bouquet of white peach, spiced citrus, and honeyed orange rind to go with a medium-bodied, nicely textured, balanced style on that palate. It's upfront and ready to go.

The 2018 Crozes-Hermitage Blanc is rock-solid, with textbook peach, honeysuckle, brioche, and subtle floral notes as well as medium-bodied richness and depth. It shows the charming, balanced style of the vintage and should be enjoyed over the coming 2-3 years.

2018 Romain Duvernay Saint Joseph Blanc

A clean, impeccably made, textbook white, the 2018 Saint Joseph Blanc has impressive peach, quince, spice box, and toasty bread notes to go with a medium-bodied, nicely textured, balanced style on the palate. It has everything in the right places, offering solid character and outstanding length. I suspect it will keep for 5-7 years if you're so inclined.

2018 Romain Duvernay Saint Joseph

The 2018 Saint Joseph from this consistent label has a ripe, powerful, slightly foursquare style as well as plenty of darker fruits, graphite, and new leather notes. With good concentration, medium to full-bodied, and plenty of tannins, it's certainly a very good effort that will benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and evolve nicely.

2017 Romain Duvernay Saint Joseph

The 2017 Saint Joseph comes from south and southeast facing parcels and was brought up in older oak. Its deep purple color is followed by a ripe, concentrated, slightly straightforward effort that has plenty of cassis and darker fruits, hints of chocolate and ground herbs, medium to full body, and a rounded, concentrated, textured profile. Give it a year or two to pick up some additional complexity, and it should evolve for 7-8 years.
