2018 Domaine Betton Christelle Crozes-Hermitage Elixir Blanc

White currants, white flowers, crushed stone, and hints of licorice all emerge from the 2018 Crozes-Hermitage Elixir Blanc. It’s a rounded, nicely textured, seamless white from this estate that I suspect will represent a great value. It should drink nicely for 3-4 years.

2018 Domaine Betton Christelle Crozes-Hermitage Circe Blanc

Brought up in equal parts old barrels and stainless steel, the 2018 Crozes-Hermitage Circe Blanc has a stunning array of crushed citrus, pineapple, brioche, and honeyed aromatics that have serious intensity. These all carry over to the palate, where the wine is balanced and medium-bodied, with a real sense of elegance and a great finish. It’s another gem to enjoy over the coming 3-4 years or more.

2018 Domaine Betton Christelle Crozes-Hermitage Caprice

The smaller production 2018 Crozes-Hermitage Caprice is a bigger, richer wine that has more gravelly minerality as well as notes of ripe dark fruits, scorched earth, violets, and a hint of graphite. Medium to full-bodied, impressively endowed, and with ripe tannins, this smoking good Crozes will keep for upwards of a decade.

2018 Domaine Betton Christelle Hermitage Arpege Blanc

The 2018 Hermitage Arpege Blanc is a rock star, with stunning notes of ripe melon, honeysuckle, acacia flowers, and quince. This full-bodied, textured white has a great mid-palate, moderate acidity, and tons of character. Unfortunately, there are only two barrels produced.
