2016 Krupp Brothers Cabernet Sauvignon M5

The flagship of the estate, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon M5 is all Cabernet from the Stagecoach Vineyard in the southern part of the valley. Aged all in new oak, it offers a ripe, sexy perfume of blueberries, cassis, graphite, and toasted spice. Rich, medium to full-bodied, with rocking purity of fruit, it has plenty of sweet tannins but is balanced and elegant on the palate.

2016 Krupp Brothers Red Blend Synchrony

Also from the Stagecoach Vineyard, the 2016 Red Blend Synchrony is similarly inky colored and boasts lots of bloody blue and black fruits, flowery herbs, and damp earth and mineral aromas and flavors. It picks up a kiss of iron with time in the glass, is full-bodied, and offers beautiful purity of fruit and building tannins. It doesn't have the depth of the M5 release, but it’s still a brilliant, structured wine that needs 4-6 years of bottle age.

2016 Krupp Brothers Red Blend The Doctor

Lastly, the 2016 Red Blend The Doctor is a blend of 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 9% Malbec, 36% Tempranillo, and the balance Syrah. As with all the 2016s here, it’s inky colored and offers terrific notes of black cherries, blackberries, camphor, leafy herbs, and cedar pencil. With terrific elegance, full body, ripe tannins, and a great finish, it's already reasonably approachable yet will cruise for 15-20 years or more.
