This short round-up of wines includes various selections from Italy, Sonoma, and Champagne. Readers will find a spotlight on the value-oriented Italian wines from the Frederick Wildman portfolio, as well as other Italian wines that were not able to make it into other reports so far this year, or those that fall outside of the regions I cover comprehensively, including Alto Adige and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Additionally, I had the opportunity to review several older vintages during a dinner Jeb and I hosted in Atlanta, where I tasted multiple bottles from opening to the end of the event. While my full report for Champagne is just around the corner, this was also a chance to squeeze in a first look at the most recent wines from Krug and Laurent-Perrier ahead of that report.
