Jeb Dunnuck.com Expands Wine Review Platform with Coverage of Three New French Regions

Site Welcomes Two Contributing Editors

(Boulder, CO – November 14, 2024) — Noted wine critic Jeb Dunnuck, founder of JebDunnuck.com, announced expanded coverage to his popular wine review platform.   Tasting reports will now include wines from three new regions of France: Languedoc, Roussillon, and Corsica.

Dunnuck also welcomes two new contributing editors, Antoine Pétrus and Birte Jantzen.  Pétrus will cover Corsica, and Jantzen will be responsible for the Languedoc and Roussillon reports.  Readers can expect to see tasting reports for these three regions in 2025.  Both reviewers are based in France.

“I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Antoine and Birte for over a decade,” says Dunnuck.  “They bring an incredible depth of knowledge about French wine and a genuine passion for it. I can’t think of anyone better suited to join our team, and I’m thrilled to have them both expanding our coverage. Our readers count on expert insights, and with Antoine and Birte coming on board, we’re well-positioned to meet and exceed that expectation.”

Antoine Pétrus P.C. Jordan Sapally

A leading French sommelier, Antoine Pétrus, achieved one of France’s highest honors, the Meilleur Ouvrier de France. His interest in becoming a sommelier was reinforced when, at 19, he began working in some of France’s most prestigious restaurants, ultimately earning him the award of Best Young Sommelier of France in 2007 while working at Les Ambassadeurs, the restaurant at the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris.  Pétrus has consulted to wine lists globally, published a book on the subject (Le Vin par Antoine Pétrus, Hachette, 2018), and from 2009 to 2012, he co-authored the French Wine Guide published by Gault et Millau.

Birte Jantzen

Born in Hamburg, Germany, Birte came to Paris at age 21 to work in fashion, where she trained as a haute couture tailor for the House of Dior. In 2011, her passion for wine surpassed her love for fashion, and since she has obtained her Diploma from the WSET. Birte has worked as a wine critic for Bettane & Desseauve and contributed to several other noted European wine publications (Vigneron Magazine, Vinum, and Fine Das Weinmagazin).

There will be no changes to the existing coverage. Dunnuck will continue to focus on the wines from California, Southern France, and Bordeaux. Audrey Frick will continue to cover Sonoma, Willamette Valley, Italy, and Champagne. Virginie Boone covers Spain, Argentina, and the California regions of Santa Cruz Mountains, Santa Lucia Highlands, Sierra Foothills, and Mendocino.

Dunnuck’s goal with JebDunnuck.com is to provide insight and up-to-date wine information that can’t be found anywhere else. “I want to be the go-to publication that helps consumers cut through the marketing and the spin to zero in on what’s in the glass. I plan to continue delivering the information consumers need when deciding what to buy and drink.”
